Juggernaut - Yurnero (aka Juggy, Jugger, Blademaster) - Semi-Carry / Ganker

Yurnero the Juggernaut seeks perfection. He seeks to become one with his blade. All to fulfil his destiny as the unstoppable Juggernaut. Ever see one hero almost kill another hero, only to be laid to rest by one single ulti? Welcome to one of Juggy's finest abilities; Omnislash! If Juggy manages to gank an enemy that is alone, semi-carry is too long a word, carry sounds more like it. Here we will try to max out his potential as one of the deadliest hitmen in the game.

Attribute Type: Agility

Attack type: Melee

Roles: semi-carry and ganker.

Very Short Guide:

Juggy's Blade Dance and agility stats make him a good semi-carry hero. His Blade Fury helps him to clear waves of creeps and damage heroes quickly, right in time to finish them off with his ulti, Omnislash. The faster his attack speed the more hits hit Omnislash will do, also the lower the enemy's armor the more damage. His scalable Healing Ward makes sure he and his team can strike again soon. Since Omnislash is such a powerful attack you want to use it most effectively and normally this means only using it when there are no enemy creeps around. Juggernaut can farm really fast if his health keeps up, this helps him getting ahead in gold and quality items. Become one of the most feared heroes in the game.

Good: in ganking really helps out massively and can do it completely solo in most cases, good against heroes that are magic damage dependant, even has good laning and support possibilities. Allows for cocky gameplay.

Bad: slightly item dependant, not good against silencers (Silencer, Drow, Lucifer, etc), mass disablers (lion; syllabears entangle; lucifer) bad against invissible targets. Requires timing and out-maneuvering to use correctly.

Skill build: Level 1: Blade Fury, 2: Stats, 3: Blade Fury, 4: Stats, 5: Blade Fury, 6: Omnislash, 7: Blade Fury, 8: Blade dance, Now finish Blade Dance and when done get Healing Ward maxed out. Blade Fury and Omnislash have priority; for early damage and killing potential; finish with the rest of the stats. Sometimes it is viable to get one level in Healing ward earlier in the game so you cans tay in lane at a crutical moment or after killing an enemy hero with little health early on

Laning Combo: Blade Fury (when it will hurt both the enemy hero and kill off the remaining creeps, start with Orchid Malevolence if available), activate MoM and Omnislash. If the enemy survives you wills till have rapid movespeed and attack speed. Activate Manta Style.

Weak Gank Combo: catch a hero solo without creeps, start with Orchid Malevolence if available, use MoM then ulti. Activate Manta Style. Chase him with normal hits or Blade Fury dependant on mana, your dps and movespeed. Blade Fury can do damage without stalling you, but it doesn't benefit from the AS of MoM so take proper timing.

Strong Gank Combo: engage in a battle with a hero, as soon as the creeps around him die you can start your real combo, but you can wait a little to make it more deadly, start with Orchid Malevolence if available, use MoM then ulti. Activate Manta Style. Chase him with normal hits or Blade Fury dependant on mana, your dps and movespeed. Blade Fury can do damage without stalling you, but it doesn't benefit from the AS of MoM so take proper timing.

Item Build (Itemleri)

Starter helper items: Tangos, Bracers and Healing Salves. Magic Wand is excellent versus spammers and even without works generally well on Juggy. Scroll of town portal is always handy so buy/use it when needed.

Choose one of the two paths below:

  • High Intensity Terminator build: Excellent dps, very easy build up, good versus casters, good survivability, good move speed and attack speed, with a temporary boost from MoM something that helps both your damage skills. The Battlefury works magic with your ulti either for super fast farming or when casting your ulti in a group or mistakenly when there are still creeps around:
    • 1. Boots
    • 2. Perseverance
    • 3. Power Treads
    • 4. Mask of Madness
    • 5. Battlefury
    • 6. Yasha
    • 7. Manta Style
    • 8 + 9. Get two of these options:
      • Team hasn't got: Assault Cuirass
      • Need a counter for hard disabler, escape-blinker or invisible hero: Orchid Malevolence
      • The enemy has no MKB and you are your team's fullest carry: Butterfly
      • Otherwise, get: Aghanim's Scepter
    • If needed sell MoM
    • 10. Satanic
  • Classic Cookie Cutter build: Excellent dps, easy build up. Good attack speed, and removes much of the enemy's armor this helps your ulti. The Battlefury works magic with your ulti either for super fast farming or when casting your ulti in a group or mistakenly when there are still creeps around:
    • 1. Boots
    • 2. Perseverance
    • 3. Power Treads
    • 4. Battlefury
    • 5. Stygian Desolator
    • 6. Options:
      • Team hasn't got: Assault Cuirass
      • Need a counter for hard disabler, escape-blinker or invisible hero: Orchid Malevolence
      • The enemy has no MKB and you are your team's fullest carry: Butterfly
    • 7. Aghanim's Scepter
    • 8. Monkey King Bar

  • Situational: If the enemy has a very high disabler team or massive nukers you might still want to get: BkB or Linken's Sphere

The bold parts above form the core items of this item build.

Benefits:

  • nice ms to move in and out and use blade fury effectively: Power Treads and Mask of Madness, possibly with Manta Style.
  • support: your heal is very effective mid and late game and helps everyone that is close enough around you.
  • great dps: his ulti and criticals make him an excelelnt damage dealer, with the items int his build his dps is great
  • decent escape possibilities: his blade fury grants magic prtection together with Mask of Madness it becomes easier to move out of harms way, possibly with Manta Style. Solo heroes usually do not like following Juggy anyway.
  • very high damage from ulti.
  • high percentage critical.
  • great 1vs1 hero.
  • can farm very fast
  • decent health: strength growth + HoT.
  • image heroes will not like Blade Fury
  • his items help him to use three of his abilities very effectively, if you want to boost Healing Ward as well, get a HoT.
  • you can't be ignored, in fact you are often feared, nobody wants to face youa lone especially if their health is down already. You are just too deadly.
  • build is not cast in stone/ flexibility: limited core items to 2 or 3 items (PT and Battlefury or PT, Perseverance and MoM) and you can get them reasonably early; drawbacks can be 'cured', although losing benefits of the discarded items
  • very fun items and skills, you can literarly kill some heroes by the push of a button and land double kills and up with proper timing

Drawbacks:

  • some items will be sold in some rare extremely long lasting games, in the end this basically always happens, you have to keep improving for as long you can
  • lacks a stun or standard disables. --> cure: Cranium Basher or Orchid Malevolence
  • no standard evasion skills: --> cure: Butterfly
  • disables will render him much weaker: --> cure: wait out your time Blade Fury and Orchid Malevolence
  • weak against heroes with an advanced escape mechanism: --> Orchid Malevolence
  • very expensive build: only possible with leavers or long games --> cure: alternative, cheaper build: only PT and Battlefury or PT, Perseverance and MoM are core
  • no truesight --> cure: gem of true sight; dust of appearance; sentry wards
